Our investment philosophy is focused on realizing substantial investment returns while carefully managing risk. Our goal is to build successful companies that will provide superior returns to entrepreneurs, investors and employees. The Privast management team is comprised of 4 professionals who all bring distinct and complementary backgrounds to the partnership. They are seasoned investment professionals with significant operational, entrepreneurial, financial, private equity, M&A and strategic consulting experience. In Europe, most venture capital firms are initiated and founded by financial institutions. Privast Capital Partners, however, is one of the few funds initiated and formed by an international team of experienced people in many different areas and sectors.

Each "investee-company" can call upon the collective and complementary skills of our entire partnership and everyone connected to the partnership. We dedicate our time and energy to help our portfolio companies succeed. We make introductions to our contacts, both domestic and international, that can assist in developing business on a global scale. We help them in their quest for talented people and try to create added value towards the companies by bringing together "investee-companies" who show complementary features and make them partner or work together on mutual problems/opportunities. We typically invest in syndication with other (VC or corporate) investors, but we can also take up lead investor positions in the companies we finance. We are normally not involved in the day-to-day management of our portfolio companies, but serve as advisors, assisting management with the development of business and financial strategies, preparations for private and public financing and assisting them in attracting top-management personnel. In order to facilitate frequent involvement in the portfolio companies, Privast Capital Partners only invests in businesses located within several hours travel time from their offices. Privast Capital Partners targets an influential share holding, but less than a controlling position. Our primary investment goal is capital appreciation. Privast’s experience, focused strategy and swift decision making process allow us to make timely investment decisions. Typically, we complete the investment process within two months. The process can be accelerated when the business plan information is comprehensive and when we already have considerable industry knowledge. |
